Serena Williams delivered an amazing performance at the US Open, and Tiger Woods was there to witness it.
On Wednesday night, Williams defeated the #2 ranked woman in the world, Anett Kontaviet, in stunning fashion.
After one of Serena’s incredible shots, Tiger Woods was seen doing one of his famous fist pumps while in the crowd.

Serena spoke about Woods’ presence while speaking to the media.
“He’s one of the reasons I’m here, one of the main reasons I’m still playing,” Williams said. “So we talked a lot. He was really trying to get me motivated. We were like, ‘Okay, we can do this together’, you know? It was good because I didn’t know what I wanted to do. I was just lost, so many questions. When you can rely on someone like that, I mean, my goodness, he’s Tiger Woods, it was really helpful to get clarity.”.
Serena is set to to play in the third round in the US Open on Friday but first will play a doubles game with her sister Venus on Thursday night. The 40-year-old tennis star has already said she plans to “evolve” away from Tennis and retire from the sport at the conclusion of the US Open.
