Jimmy Garoppolo has plenty of incentive to stay healthy and win games for the Niners this year.
In the offseason, the 49ers restructured Garoppolo’s contract and cut his base salary from $25.62 million to $6.5 million when he agreed to return to San Fran.
Jimmy G’s contract, however is filled with several incentives, including $250k for every game in which he plays at least 25 percent of the snaps. Jimmy’s contract also includes $100k for every win he gets.

Jimmy was asked about the extra money he made after the game.
“You’re not thinking about that stuff out there, you’re in the game, you’re flowing with the game, trying to get guys ready, I was kind of in that mode but yeah it’s always a nice positive.”
Jimmy Garoppolo made $350,000 in bonuses for playing and winning yesterday.

If the Niners keep winning them Jimmy G is setting himself up to get paid nicely this season before he gets someone to give him a new contract next season.
