According to a report from Doug Haller of The Athletic, an opposing coach claims that it was easy to get intel on ASU because someone at the school wanted Edwards fired.
“An opposing coach recently told The Athletic that it wasn’t hard to get intel on this season’s team because some within Arizona State’s athletics wanted a coaching change.”
Herm Edwards' time in the desert mostly will be remembered as a failed experiment.

Fans reacted to The Athletic’s shocking report.
This is a scathing indictment of the @ASUFootball program under Herm Edwards.
Some within the department wanted the team to lose so badly that they gave away information to other teams. Let that sink in.

If true, this makes Wakey Leaks look like child's play – rumors that ASU staffers were leaking information on their own team to opponents to try to get Herm Edwards fired. https://t.co/nRrODvsyAM pic.twitter.com/lLZ5D10spS

If it’s true that there were people within the organization leaking information to opponents, they should lose their jobs immediately https://t.co/pByLgLFjUw
