Things got a bit awkward between Jackson State in-house reporter Rob Jay and Jackson State head coach Deion Sanders.
The interview appeared to be a standard weekly interview between the two, but things went south fast.
The interview starts off with Jay asking Sanders, ‘how he’s feelin’ today?’ but Sanders felt Jay wasn’t being his true self and called him out on it.
Sanders told Jay he was “not talking like that just two minutes ago” and asked him to “come in how [he] normally sound[s].” Jay stated that he wants to be clear, concise, and professional, to which Sanders asked if “being him” was not professional.

Some fans thought Sanders was in the wrong for his treatment of the reporter.
Look Sanders is cool and all…but this ain't it… https://t.co/4IePx6vL7W

I have enjoyed Deion and Rob's banter most of the season, but this one was a little awkward and jerkish. Might be a work, but definitely not charming or endearing. https://t.co/s2ElIKdjt6

Prime could've had this conversation with him off camera without playing this man out in front of everyone like that. I get what he's saying but he got him looking crazy on tape and its awkward. https://t.co/yaYEAngTKC

this was pointless and immature. He sounded the same each time. The purpose of an interview is to ask questions and get information. Who cares how he sounds??????????? https://t.co/ZYynsOKeuN

Others felt Deion was just keeping it real with the reporter.
Prime just keeping it 💯. Just be you. Don't change for a paycheck. Don't change for a woman. Don't change for a man. DON'T CHANGE!! It will save you a lot of heartache. https://t.co/JWg5CdMnom
