49-year-old retired wide receiver Terrell Owens thinks he can still play in the game and is calling for the Niners to sign him.
During an appearance on San Francisco radio station 95.7 The Game on Wednesday, Owens let it be known that he wants to play for the Niners.
“Hey look, man, I’ve already kind of sprinkled some words out there,” Owens said. “Like yo, if you guys need a receiver, I’m good. Listen here: third down, red zone, trust me. I’m a very valuable asset. I’ve been training … I’m already ready, I’ve already reached out to Jed York and told him, ‘If you need somebody, I’m definitely available.’”
Terrell Owens' made one last plea to the 49ers before signing off:
"Y'all still let those Niners know, man. I'm ready, man. All I want is an opportunity, man. That's all I ever wanted."

Earlier this year, Owens stunned the sports world when he ran the 40-yard-dash at 4.5 40.
So, uh, @terrellowens just ran a sub 4.5 40…at 48 years old in the Dash of the Titans.
