Damar Hamlin isn’t ready to publicly say what doctors believe happened to him on the field.
Earlier this week, Hamlin spoke to Good Morning America’s Michael Strahan for his first in-depth interview since collapsing on the field two months ago.
During the interview, Strahan asked Hamlin what doctors said caused his heart to stop on the field and Hamlin refused to answer.
“You’re 24, peak physical condition … how did doctors describe what happened to you?” Strahan asked.
Hamlin said “ummm,” then paused for several seconds. “That’s something I’m going to stay away from.”
“Honestly, no. I’ve always been a healthy, young, fit, energetic human being. It was something that we’re still processing and still talking through with my doctors just to see what everything was,” Hamlin said.”

Others felt Hamlin didn’t have to disclose what happened to him.

1) It’s no one’s business but his.

I respect that Damar Hamlin has the right to say or not say whatever he likes, but then who is responsible using him as a prop (and for what purpose) by putting him on Good Morning America when interest in him is solely based on the incident he doesn’t want to discuss.
