Kyle Shanahan missed a huge opportunity to challenge a complete pass and it cost the Niners big time.
On 4th-and-3 in the first quarter, Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith appeared to make a clutch one-handed grab to get the first down.

The replay showed that that Smith didn’t have control of the ball while coming down to the ground.
The Devonta Smith one-handed catch should've actually been incomplete as the ball clearly hit the ground. Eagles hurried to the line, seems like the 49ers didn't get the correct angle in time. Huge, huge miss.pic.twitter.com/efJ9pmb3sC

Fans ripped into Kyle Shanahan for not challenging the play.
Kyle Shanahan is going to regret not challenging that fourth-down reception by Smith

Genius coach Kyle Shanahan doesn't challenge even though opposing receiver is begging to run the next play as quick as possible

Seems like an early blunder by Kyle Shanahan not to immediately throw the challenge flag. If nothing else, would have slowed down some of the momentum in this place. Might have gotten overturned. https://t.co/4YXhdvm4rd

Nobody told Kyle Shanahan to challenge that? Is he just meant to be a complete idiot in every big game?
