Nick Bosa’s holdout is starting to get real expensive.
Despite working on a contract extension during the offseson, the San Francisco 49ers and Bosa have yet to come to an agreement.
Everyone involved in the negotiations assured fans that a deal would get done but with the season quickly approaching, fans are starting to get a little bit worried.
On Sunday afternoon, the Niners held their first preaseason game against the Raiders in Las Vegas and Bosa was completely absent from the game which resulted in a huge fine.
According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Bosa was fined nearly $1 million for the missing the preseason game against the Riders.
Two weeks ago, Niners GM John Lynch talked about his confidence about getting a deal done with Bosa before the start of the season.
“I don’t like not having one of our best players here,” . “We’ve got a really good track record that I’m proud of as a group of having our players in, but I also understand it. And understand that we’re going to have to exhibit some patience and understand that ultimately this thing will work out.”
