It appears that this could be Aaron Rodgers’ final NFL season.
According to a report from journalist Michael Balko, people within the Packers have been led to believe that this is Rodgers’ final season with the team.
I’ve spoken to some people within the #Packers organization, they told me that QB Aaron Rodgers has “made it clear” that he plans to retire following the season. pic.twitter.com/XAyHX5Etl1

Just last week Rodgers said that the development of the team’s young wide receivers would determine if he would return next year.
Aaron Rodgers was asked today if emergence of Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson might make him want to play longer.
He mentioned a number of factors in his decision — physical, mental, personnel.
"Seeing the development of those guys can't help but be a part of the decision."

Rodgers also admitted before the start of the season that he didn’t want to play football until he was 45 like Brady.
Aaron Rodgers confirms again that, unlike Tom Brady, he won't be playing until age 45.

Some fans aren’t surprised by the retirement rumors while others are clearly not buying it.
I had this feeling when he came back.
I think it's adding a layer of stress to this season and causing him to force things. https://t.co/rQxhoGAfJh

This probably has zero truth to it, but I am ready for it to happen. Let’s all move on from this guy. #Packers https://t.co/guUJtqHT0Z
