Baker Mayfield is beginning to realize that his days as a surefire NFL starter are over.
Earlier this week, the Carolina Panthers revealed that they were going to start PJ Walker over a healthy Baker Mayfield.

During the team’s practice session this week, Mayfield was seen playing on the scout team defense.
Baker Mayfield running scout team defensive end for the worst team in football. Please tell me that this makes all of the Baker Bros extinct. There is no possible way there could be one left???

On Thursday, the media caught up with Mayfield and he gave his honest reaction about not starting and helping the team prepare for their next game.
QB Baker Mayfield: “I’m rolling with the punches, helping this team out in any way I can. I came here to win. If my role is to help PJ out from the sideline & help this defense out in scout team then I’m gonna do it & I’m gonna do it with everything I can. That’s just who I am.” pic.twitter.com/qKTZpcwo7j
