Baker Mayfield calling fake news on the media over an alleged comment he supposedly made.
Earlier this week, NFL Network’s Cynthia Frelund claimed that Mayfield told her “I’m gonna F them up” while talking about facing the Cleveland Browns in week one.
On the field after the game against the Bills preseason game 3 and I walked over to him and told him “I’m so excited to see you…especially week one, I cannot wait” and he uses some expletives and I was like I just hope you’re just ready and he was like “I’m gonna bleep them up”

Frelund doubled down on social media a day after her report went viral.
Oh boy, this is silly. Don’t make this more than it is. I was wishing him good luck, colorfully. He agreed with me, colorfully. What do you expect anyone to do in this situation… #browns

Mayfield was asked about the comment during his latest media session and he straight up denied ever making them.
‘“First, I didn’t say it,” Mayfield said, . “Obviously everybody’s going to write whatever story they want, there’s history that I played there the last four years. I’m an extremely competitive person. Everybody knows that. If I wasn’t wanting to win then there would be a really big issue with me being the quarterback here. I want to win in everything I do. That’ll never change. That is not how I phrased it. It’s not even what I said.”
