We have some controversy in the Bills Bengals game.
Before the half, Bengals QB Joe Burrow hit WR Ja’Marr Chase in the back on the end zone for a pass which was initially called touchdown.

The refs took a look at the play and overturned the call on the field because they felt Chase didn’t control the ball while falling to the ground.

Fans were furious with refs for taking away the Chase TD.
Jamar Chase had complete control of that ball when his feet were in bounds. Only as he left the end zone was the ball jarred slightly loose. But he never dropped it. Sorry, that's a touchdown.

Having to have control when the ball doesn’t come out of your hands is a dumb rule.

I don't know if that was a catch or not. I do know that it wasn't obvious enough to overturn whatever the call on the field might be.

What thorough nonsense.
That was absolutely 50/50 and called a catch on the field.
That’s everything that’s wrong with replay.
It was never intended for that level of objective minutiae. #Bengals— Mike Greenberg (@Espngreeny) January 22, 2023
