Atlanta Braves pitcher Max Fried suffered a scary-looking injury on Saturday night but thankfully he’s okay.
Fried was pitching for the Braves against the Mets, and tried to help out on defense by running over to first base to complete a potential double play. Unfortunately, the ball thrown his way hit the ground and sailed towards the dugout. Fried then tried to pick up the ball and make a diving throw to home plate but ended up hitting his head on the ground.
The Mets score 2 runs on this ground ball from Darin Ruf.
