– when not working in sweatshops, prisoners are subjected to heavy physical labor like digging trenches, breaking up frozen coal or manually sawing giant logs
– if a prisoner refuses to work, they're sent to a solitary confinement, a freezing cold tiny cell— (@pussyrrriot) November 22, 2022
– prisoners share barracks with 100 other people, with only 3-5 toilets for all, and no hot water
– shower (and hot water) once a weekRussian prison system wasn't reformed since GULAG times, if you want to get a peak into it, read Shalamov or Solzhenitsyn.#FreeBrittneyGriner

Griner’s supporters were horrified to hear the conditions that she has to live through.
This is insane. @potus @VP @SecBlinken please bring her home#BrittneyGriner #FreeBrittneyGriner https://t.co/lllSVNnJc7

This is difficult to hear. I can’t imagine existing in those conditions especially when you don’t speak the language.
Not speaking the language will only leave her isolated. https://t.co/hkleU7B4eA
