We have a good old NFL conspiracy theory on our hands before this week’s Bucs-Packers game.
On Sunday, Bucs wide receiver Mike Evans was ejected from the team’s game vs. the Saints after he shoved DB Marshon Lattimore.

Evans was then suspended for one game by NFL VP of football operations Jon Runyan.
In announcing Mike Evans' suspension, NFL VP Jon Runyan writes Evans "struck an unsuspecting opponent who was part of that confrontation." Said "aggressive conduct could have caused serious injury to your opponent and clearly does not reflect the high standards of sportsmanship."

Considering that Runyan is the father of Packers’ Jon Runyan Jr., who plays the Bucs this week, fans started to put two and two together.
Jon Runyan is the person who issues suspensions for NFL players. He just issued a 1-game suspension for Mike Evans.
Jon Runyan’s son, Jon Runyan Jr., plays for the Packers and the Packers just happen to play Mike Evan’s Buccaneers next week.
Coincidence? I think not!

Jon Runyan’s daddy saved the day. 🥺 why isn’t that being talked about? @NFLPA @nflcommish

Not surprised in the slightest considering Jon Runyan Sr, who’s son Jon Runyan jr who plays for the Packers handed down the suspension on the same week Tampa plays then lol
Thats not a conflict of interest but Derrick Brooks hearing the appeal is?

I think we need to ask more questions why Jon Runyan suspends mike evans for pushing a player the week he plays his sons packers. A bucs win gives them a 3 game lead against green bay for that first rd buy. It’s not a coincidence. #freemikeevans

The league has come out to say they don’t believe there’s a conflict of interest here but of course Bucs fans are going to believe what they want to believe.
