Celtics’ Jaylen Brown Appears To Imply Ime Udoka’s Relationship Might Not Have Been Consensual

Celtics media day was held on Monday morning and players are beginning to speak out on the Ime Udoka situation.

Last week, the Celtics suspended Udoka for the entire 2023 season but wouldn’t give any specific reasons other than he violated organizational rules despite reports that the Celtics head coach reportedly had a consensual relationship with a team staffer.

Jaylen Brown attended media day and said “it’s hard to make a decision whether it’s consensual or not,” regarding the alleged relationship Udoka had with a team staff member.

Shams Charania of The Ahtletic reported last week that the relationship started off as consensual but she later reported Udoka for making unwanted comments.

A prominent agent has told NBA reporter Ethan Strauss that Udoka is “done” in the league.

“Given that report, and everything else said in private, an agent friend of mine delivered a verdict on Ime Udoka’s NBA head coaching prospects: ‘He’s done,’” wrote Strauss.

“My guy’s not the only one saying it. This is how many NBA insiders now see the situation, and have seen it since Thursday, really. While nobody can completely predict the future, it is a widespread interpretation of present events.”

Considering everything that’s happening behind the scenes it seems like Ime Udoka’s career may be over.
