Colin Cowherd is firing back at Niners fans who are mad at him over his Trey Lance take.
After Lance suffered a season-ending injury and Jimmy Garoppolo led the team to victory on Sunday, Cowherd immediately concluded that the Niners were better with Jimmy G playing QB.
“Let’s totally be honest here, Garoppolo is better now, Garoppolo fits the team now, the team is going to win now, Lance is going to continue not playing, it’s not like he’s going to pop back next season and would have suddenly solved his issues, he’s going to be coming off a long stretch of inactivity, so if you’re Niners fan right now you feel bad for Trey Lance, but your team is better today. The Niners today with Jimmy Garoppolo, I feel confident in saying that’s a team that can get to the NFL championship.”

Angry Niners fans reacted negatively to Cowherd’s response and blasted him on social media.
On Tuesday, Cowherd once again took aim at Niners fans on his show.
“I’m going to give you the truth and if you’re not ready for it, that it is a you problem. If somebody passed away and I thought they were a horrible person, I talk about it the next morning, well it’s not the time or the place, well they’re a bad person, they’re now longer here, I have to talk about them, and I’m going to do it on my terms on my show and fill the segment.
“I’m not going to wait 11 days until you’ve had therapy to get over it, 49er fans get over it, the team’s better with Garoppolo than with Trey Lance”
