College Football D-Lineman Passes Away After ‘Sudden Collapse’

The college football community is mourning the tragic death of a young player who passed away too soon.

On Sunday, the Ouachita Baptist football program announced that senior defensive lineman Clark Yarbrough had died after a sudden collapse:

“Today the Ouachita community mourns the loss of senior Clark Yarbrough, who died this morning following a sudden collapse. Join us in praying for his family and friends. More information about campus gatherings following this tragedy will be released soon.”

The 6-foot-1, 280-pound Yarbrough made the All-Great American Conference honorable mention team in 2021 after playing in every single game that season and recording 27 tackles.

Yarbrough played his final game on Thursday in Ouachita Baptist’s season opener in a 42-32 Oklahoma Baptist over Oklahoma Baptist. Yarbrough recorded two tackles in the team’s win

The cause of Yarbrough’s death is unknown.
