College GameDay Host Reacts To People Calling For Lee Corso To Retire After Concerning Video

College GameDay Host Rece Davis wants everyone to know the 87-year-old Lee Corso is okay.

Over the week end, fans shared their concerns for Corso after many couldn’t make out what he was saying during a segment on College GameDay.

“I love him to death. Hes a legend. But Lee Corso needs to retire. What did this man just say?!” said one fan about Corso’s appearance on Saurday.

“Stop trotting Lee Corso out there @espn” said another fan.

Davis, who has worked alongside Corso for years, went on the LeBatard show on Tuesday and tried to let everyone know that Corso is of sound mind and can continue doing his job on GameDay.

“He’s doing great, I speak to him regularly and this weekend in Columbus, I think you’ll see a much more comfortable environment, and you’ll see him be able to deliver, as he still does, which is remarkable. His mind is still razor sharp at the age of 87. I should be so fortunate if I’m blessed to make it far in my life.”

Davis blamed the viral clip of Corso on the GameDay crew being filmed in remote locations which he says led to awkward audio issues. Next Saturday’s College GameDay will be the first time this season the GameDay will be together on location which could make things a bit better for Corso.
