Former offensive lineman turns ESPN analyst Jeff Saturday is the new interim head coach of the Indianapolis Colts, even though he has no NFL coaching experience.
The decision to hire Saturday shocked the NFL world.
Jeff Saturday is the first NFL head coach with no college or pro coaching experience since Norm Van Brocklin went from 1960 NFL MVP with the Eagles to coach of the Vikings in 1961.

There are Black coaches in the NFL that have been assistants for years that can’t even get serious interviews to be a head coach.

The Jeff Saturday hire is a slap in the face to all the black coaches that constantly get hit with the “not ready” “not enough experience” speeches when it comes to head coaching jobs (on every level). I don’t know Jeff so it’s not about him… it’s about the system.
