Cowboys Dak Prescott Reacts To Hand Injury That Could Keep Him Out For 6-8 Weeks

Dak Prescott will miss significant time this season after suffering a hand injury in week one.

During Sunday’s game against the Bucs, Prescott had to leave the game in the 4th quarter after Bucs player hit his hand trying to bat down his pass.

After the game, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones revealed that Prescott would need surgery on his hand and is expected to miss 6-9 weeks according to reports.

Prescott spoke to the media about the injury during his postgame press conference.

“It’s very disappointing, but injuries happen, can’t necessarily control it, just unfortunate,” Prescott said. “Obviously going to miss some time, not be there for my team and that’s what hurts more than anything, especially after the start we just put out there. Wanted to be able to respond, and not necessarily having that opportunity for several weeks, yeah it’s unfortunate. But I’ll do what I’ve always done anytime adversity comes, take it on head-first and give my best and I’m sure I’ll come out of this thing better.”

The Cowboys currently have Cooper Rush as their starting QB with Prescott out. The Cowboys will likely be in the market for a QB now that Prescott is out for so long.
