Deshaun Watson Maintains His Innocence, Says 11-Game Suspension Doesn’t Mean He Did Anything Wrong

Despite settling his suspension with the NFL Deshaun Watson continued to maintain his innocence.

After agreeing to be suspended for 11 games and paying a $5 million, Watson told the media that just because he settled with the NFL, it doesn’t mean he did anything wrong.

“I’ve always been able to stand on my innocence and always said I never assaulted or disrespected anyone but at the same point I have to continue to push forward with my life and career.”

Watson went on to say that he’s sorry for people who were triggered by his actions.

Watson’s agent David Mulugheta also emphasized that Watson was innocent but remorseful.
