ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky did something extraordinary on ESPN on Tuesday.
On Monday night Bills DB Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest on the field after attempting to make a tackle.
Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest following a hit in our game versus the Bengals. His heartbeat was restored on the field and he was transferred to the UC Medical Center for further testing and treatment. He is currently sedated and listed in critical condition.

According to Hamlin’s uncle, the Billds DB is still breathing through a ventilator while in critical condition.
JUST IN: Hamlin remains sedated on a ventilator at UC Medical Center. Doctors have flipped him on his stomach to help take the pressure off his lungs, according to Dorrian Glen, Hamlin’s uncle.

While reporting on the Hamlin story, ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky halted the discussion to lead his fellow coworkers into a group prayer for Hamlin on Live TV.
Shoutout to Dan Orlovsky for not just saying thoughts & prayers but actually stopping NFL Live to bow his head, close his eyes, and pray for Damar Hamlin.
Kudos to you, @danorlovsky7 👏 pic.twitter.com/oBahDRc3ak

Good on Dan for doing this on a stage that he has, bringing the Lord front and center is not something you would see a LOT of broadcasters do for fear of retaliation.

Thank you to @danorlovsky7 for having the courage to do what very few would ever do. Pray to God out loud on national TV. Prayer is powerful, and it works because of what God has and can do. Spoken prayer – out loud – is powerful – because of what God can do through it and in us. https://t.co/3Gtksrr52L
