There’s some tragic news coming out of a high school in Lubbock, Texas over the weekend.
A Dalhart High School football player has passed away after sustaining a head injury during the game according to a social media post from his family.
Sophomore Yahir Cancino had to be airlifted to UMC Children’s Hospital When medical trainers and professionals could not revive him on the field after he lost consciousness when he took a blow to the head in the fourth quarter of the game. Twenty-four hours later he succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
We are deeply saddened to learn that Yahir Cancino has passed away from injuries sustained in Thursday’s football game.
