Lane Kiffin Rips New College Football Clock Rules

Lane Kiffin isn’t a fan of the new college football clock rules.

Over the summer, the NCAA revealed that they weren’t going to stop the clock for first downs until the final two minutes of the second and fourth quarter.

The reasoning behind the new change is to shorten the game .

During a recent interview with ON3, Kiffin says he doesn’t understand why the NCAA decided they needed to shorten the game.

“I just don’t understand it. People pay to see, they sit down with their family to watch a game, they pay for tickets to go to a game and we’re going to shorten it? I mean it’s not like it was broke. And there’s a lot of problems that need to be fixed in the world around college football, and running the clock so the game’s quicker? I don’t get it.”
