The Manti Te’o Netflix series Untold: The Girlfriend Who Didn’t Exist has many people showing their appreciation for the former Notre Dame linebacker who was famously catfished in 2012.
Since the release of the doc, videos showing Te’o crying after his life was nearly ruined have gone viral on social media.

This documentary is a good reminder that athletes are humans too.
Manti Te’o is a quality human being, and deserves to be treated as such. https://t.co/LYlfqIu1rQ

Te’o reacted to LeBron showing him love on Instagram.
Last week an emotional Te’o thanked all his fans on Instagram for showing support after the release of the Netflix doc.
“I just wanted to come out here real quick to give a heartfelt thank you to everybody who has come through and has shown so much love to me and my family, for your messages, for your comments”
