After the match, both Tiger Woods and LeBron James took to social media to honor Serena.
“LeBron here wow, First I wanted to say congratulations to you, to an unbelievable career, you’re a GOAT, what you’ve done for the sport of tennis, what you’ve done for women, and you what you’ve done for the category of sport period, it’s been an honor to watch your journey”

Despite declaring that she was retiring before the US Open, Serena appeared to leave the door open from a comeback.
She was asked during her postgame interview about reconsidering her retirement announcement and didn’t immediately deny it, saying ”I don’t think so, but you never know. I don’t know.”
It’s clear that Serena can still compete with the world’s best tennis players but it’ll probably better off that she ride off into the susnet after a spectacular run at the US Open.
