Michael Irvin may have given us his hottest Dallas Cowboys take of all-time.
Last week the Cowboys lost their preseason opening game after committing 17 penalties. At one point in the game, head coach Mike McCarthy looked exasperated due to how many penalties the team had committed.

During the latest edition of First Take, Irvin said that if the Cowboys somehow figure out how to clean up their penalties, the team could go undefeated and chase the 72 Dolphins.
“If the Dallas Cowboys clean up these penalties, they will be chasing the [undefeated] 1972 Miami Dolphins,” Irvin claimed. “When you got the No. 1 offense, clean up these penalties, they will be chasing the 1972 Dolphins. Did I say something crazy?”

Stephen A Smith immediately laughed in Irvin’s face when he figured out what the former Cowboys WR had told him.
