NFL World Reacts To Michael Irvin Naming Kirk Cousins His NFL MVP For This Season

Former NFL great Michael Irvin has officially lost his mind.

On Tuesday night, the NFL GameDay crew named who they thought would win the NFL MVP this season, and Irvin’s was by far the most shocking.

Most NFL Network panelists picked either Aaron Rodgers or Bills QB Josh Allen to be MVP.

Michael Irvin, however picked Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins to be the league MVP next season.

Cousins was recently named 99th in the NFL’s top 100. Last season Cousins held a 103.1 passer rating which ranked fourth last season, and his 98.6 career passer rating ranks sixth among active QBs. Cousins was also a Pro-Bowl selection in 2021 but putting him ahead of Allen and Rodgers is still pretty absurd.

Fans roasted Irvin over his absurd pick.

Cowboys fans also didn’t seem pleased with the fact that Irvin rated Cousins over Dak Prescott.

According to Pointsbet, Cousins is at +5000 to win MVP which is behind Dak Prescott (+1500) Matthew Stafford (+1500) and others. Josh Allen is currently the odds on favorite to win the MVP at +700 with Patrick Mahomes right behind him at +800. Tom Brady is currently at +850.
