The Niners defense is starting to get noticed around the league after the team’s latest impressive effort.
On Monday night, the Niners defense was absolutely suffocating against the Rams.
The Niners defense dominated once again. Here’s their numbers for tonight:
• 7 sacks

• 9 tackles for loss
• 1 pick-6

Some reporters are already calling the Niners the best defense in the league.
We can now officially start having the 49ers defense "elite" debates. They were non-starters until this unit proved it could force big takeaways

And Nick Bosa agrees with that sentiment.
“I think it’s the best in the league,” Bosa said while speaking to the media after the team’s win against the Rams.
“That’s kind of our mindset every year, and this year we have the personnel to do it. Not that we haven’t in the past, but just all three levels [have] elite players. The addition of Charvarius [Ward], and [Talanoa Hufanga] starting to play at this level. And obviously, we’re going to get Jimmie [Ward] and [Jason] Verrett back, which is pretty scary.
“And then the depth on the D-line, guys Hassan [Ridgeway] and Charles [Omenihu], and Samson’s [Ebukam] coming on. I think he’s playing his best ball of his career. So it’s a group effort.”
