Packers’ Jon Runyan Jr. is speaking about after people are coming up with wild conspiracy theories about his father.
Earlier this week, NFL VP of Policy and Rules Administration Jon Runyan Sr. had announced that he was suspending Bucs wide receiver Mike Evans for one game after Evans shoved Marshon Lattimore during the Saints-Bucs game.
In announcing Mike Evans' suspension, NFL VP Jon Runyan writes Evans "struck an unsuspecting opponent who was part of that confrontation." Said "aggressive conduct could have caused serious injury to your opponent and clearly does not reflect the high standards of sportsmanship."

Considering that Jon Runyan Sr. is the father of Packers’ Jon Runyan Jr., who plays the Bucs this week, fans accused the NFL VP of rigging the game in favor of the Packers.
Jon Runyan is the person who issues suspensions for NFL players. He just issued a 1-game suspension for Mike Evans.
Jon Runyan’s son, Jon Runyan Jr., plays for the Packers and the Packers just happen to play Mike Evan’s Buccaneers next week.
Coincidence? I think not!

Jon Runyan Jr. addressed the conspiracy theories while talking to the media on Wednesday.
“He was just doing his job,” Runyan said after Wednesday’s practice. “He’s been doing that job for over a half-decade now. It just so happens that we’re playing the Buccaneers this week. Everybody’s trying to make it this conspiracy theory, which it’s not. Mike Evans, he has a history with Lattimore, or so I’ve heard. This isn’t the first time and definitely wasn’t the second time that something like this has happened.”
It is worth noting that James Thrash later upheld Evans’ suspension.
