There was a lot of drama going into the Panthers game against the Browns on Sunday, but Baker Mayfield is ready to move on with the season.
After the Panthers’ heartbreaking 21-20 loss on Sunday, Mayfield spoke about pre-game drama about facing his old team
“Everybody made this out to be the Super Bowl, but despite what everybody’s gonna make of this, there’s 16 more games,” Mayfield said. “The Super Bowl’s not until February, this is the beginning of September.”

Mayfield did say that he enjoyed catching up with some of his old teammates on Sunday.
“It was good to see some people. Obviously disappointed with the way things finished, I would love to have bragging rights against those guys, but we didn’t finish,” Mayfield said. “Mostly because we didn’t start fast.”
Baker still needs more time to get acclimated to his new teammate and a new offense, one game shouldn’t define him t his season.
