Phil Simms Doesn’t Think There ‘s “Huge Drop-Off” In Talent From Dak Prescott To Cooper Rush

Phil Simms seems to be high on Cooper Rush.

Last week, Dak Prescott broke his thumb and is set to be out several weeks.

Rush will take over QB duties while Prescott is out.

During the latest episode of Inside The NFL, Simms said he doesn’t believe there’s going to be a huge dropoff in talent going from Prescott to Rush,

“Cooper Rush has a good arm, he has experience, he led the team to a victory last year,” Simms said. “He can make the plays. There’s not going to be a huge drop-off to me.”

“A quarterback change will bring new life. They know they have to protect him, play different and play better,” Simms added. “Look for the Dallas offense to take it away from Cooper Rush, run the football and make him a bit player instead of the main focus.”

NFL fans thought Simms was out of his mind and blasted him over his Cooper Rush take.
