Deshaun Watson should probably start preparing to sit out the entire season.
Earlier this week, Watson tried to settle with the NFL by offering to be suspended for 8 games with a $5 million fine.
I’m told Deshaun Watson would accept an 8-game suspension and $5 million fine in a settlement. Of course, league wants at least 17 games, significant fine over $5 million & evaluation for treatment. So this would be a significant compromise. But it would end it.

Watson went on to apologize to his accusers before the team’s preseason game on Friday.
“I’m truly sorry to all the women that I’ve impacted in this situation. (There are) decisions that I made in my life that put me in this position I would definitely like to have back.” – @deshaunwatson before he got on the #Browns team bus today.

Watson’s settlement offer doesn’t appear to be enough because, according to a report from Pro Football Network, a full-season suspension is viewed as a “slam dunk.”

There’s still no timetable as to when the NFL will make their decision on Watson’s suspension but it’s safe to say that it’s going to come before the first game of the NFL season in three weeks.
