Russell Wilson’s Former Seahawks Teammates Reveal Why They Dislike Him So Much

Former Seahawks players are revealing why they don’t like Russell Wilson.

After Wilson struggled in his first game with the Broncos, several former Seahawks players came out and roasted him on social media.

On Wednesday, Sherman sat down with KJ Wright to talk about why so many former Seahawks players dislike Wilson.

Wright said that Wilson was not held to the “same accountability” as the rest of the team.

“He was not held to the same accountability as the rest of us. You’re bashing the defense. I need you to at least mention his name in the team meeting room.”

Sherman also talked about how Wilson getting special treatment from head coach Pete Carroll caused friction in the locker room.

“There wasn’t enough years difference for the accountability to be like that. ‘Well, he was young.’ He was a year younger than us. You ain’t that young. When you got 52 guys being held to a certain standard and you got one guy not being held to that standard, it’s going to cause some friction.”

Eventually Sherman believes that Carroll chose Wilson over the infamous Legion Of Boom defense after the locker room was fractured.

“After a while, it had to get to the point where he [Carroll] had to chose Russ or the defense. After the Super Bowl loss, he made it pretty clear who he was choosing.”
