Panthers backup QB Sam Darnold is going to be out for a bit.
On Friday night, Darnold was carted off the field after suffering a leg injury while getting tackled.

Darnold apparently suffered a high-ankle sprain during the team’s preseason finale and will miss several weeks as a result.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Darnold is expected to be out four-to-six weeks but will seek a second medical opinion.

The team recently named Baker Mayfield the starting QB but lost rookie Matt Corral for the season a few weeks ago.
