Shaq’s Son Shareef O’Neal Reacts To Robert Horry Saying He ‘Doesn’t Have That Dog In Him’ Like His Father

Even Shaq’s former teammates are criticizing his son’s play.

During a recent episode of Robert Horry’s “Big Shot Bob” podcast, the former Lakers criticized the play of Shareef O’Neal and said he doesn’t know if Shaq’s son ‘has that dog in him.’

“I picked up my phone and I was getting ready to call Shaq like, ‘Yo, man, you gotta tell your son he can’t be playing off the damn O’Neal name.’ He gotta go out there and play. I was like, ‘You gotta put forth some effort, man.’ Shareef is such a nice kid that I don’t know if he has that dog in him to go out and take what he wants. Shaq had that dog in him. You gotta be able to do that.”

Shareef saw Horry’s comment and responded respectfully while disagreeing with his father’s former teammate.

“I know this outta love and no disrespect!!! I got you BIG SHOT🙏🏾 but you know who raised me , I don’t quit. Always been taught to go get it and take it . Been heading in the right step …like I said I got you! Youll see”

Shareef played for the Lakers during year’s NBA Summer League but didn’t make the team after averaging 4.7 points and 3.7 rebounds in 10.9 minutes per game. Shareef ended up signing a reported six-figure contract to play with the G League Ignite next season.
