Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is sticking with Mitch Trubisky.
On Thursday night, the Steelers lost their second game of the season against the Browns as Trubisky went 20 for 32 for 207 yards and no touchdowns.
The Steelers are 1-2 and Trubisky looks like a backup. His 207 yards tonight are a season high. He has 2 pass TDs in 3 games. 10 days off before they get the Jets. It may be time to… #LetPickettPlay

After the game, Tomlin was asked if he’d considered benching Trubisky and this is how Tomlin answered.
“I’m not in that mindset. I’m interested in reviewing this tape and looking at the totality of it and figuring out how we collectively get better. So to answer that question definitively, no.”
Will Mike Tomlin and the Steelers consider making a QB change?

Steelers fans were not happy with Tomlin’s answer.

That quote should warm up his HC seat, HOF coach, but if he’s not even considering it internally, he’s in the team’s way more than anyone else. https://t.co/CU1Ip6JuJi

Bro your quarterback threw 32 passes and got barely over 200 yards. https://t.co/dmaHfixM9I

The fact that all professional sports have a thing called “tanking”. Mitch Trubisky still being a starting NFL QB is blasphemy. He’s not even good enough to be a backup. Professional sports NEED to change in this aspect. https://t.co/9SyyKket6A

Tomlin is the most overrated coach in the league, dude is great players coach but that’s it https://t.co/29UhB5EFGX
